As one of the biggest ticket events I’d listed to see in Europe, it was an understatement that I was excited to go to Oktoberfest. About 10 of us headed over to Munich (via Geneva, and then Zurich on the way back..) for the opening weekend. The scene above is of the very first beers being poured in the morning in the Hofbrau Festhalle after we endured a 3 hour wait.
Needless to say, it was probably one of the largest weekends I’ve ever had. Each day we were in the beer halls at 9am, ready to get into that first big 1 litre stein each. Coupled with rollercoasters and rides, traditional Bavarian food and lots of singing and dancing on tables, it made for an amazing trip.
If there’s one thing you can do in September/October that’s not to be missed, it’s Oktoberfest. And to fire you up even more, here’s a few extra photos!
